Below is a 3.8 oz roving, handpainted by Cordova Studios. I have named it Rainbow Sherbet. The fiber is a superwash merino, and I have tried to spin it pretty fine.

Here's another WIP that I have just finished. I purchased the roving for this when I went to Kid and Ewe, in Boerne, TX Nov, 2009. I have a lb of it and it is a wool/mohair blend. Altogether, I have 889 yards.

Oh the rainbow sherbet is yummy.....so summery nd cool looking...can't wait to see what you knit wiht this....
ReplyDeleteIsn't spinning the most relaxing activity...I just get in my zone and here I go...In fact, I have so much spun right now I've got to start knitting 24/7.....
Have a good weekend...
Nice work...which wheel is that?
ReplyDeleteThe spinning wheel is an Ashford Kiwi. I have painted the wheel black and then stenciled white and gray sheep on it.
